10 Things You Should Know About Me

2. I'm a teacher (Read: I have a very small budget.)

One of my favorite pastimes is thrifting (the fine art of buying clothing at second-hand stores). This is because I make very little money and spend a great deal on other hobbies. It takes diligence and a keen eye, but I manage to buy plenty of nice pieces at thrift stores.

It also means that I don't spend a lot on current trends unless I know I'm going to be able to wear them often and cheaply. I know that these shoes are sooo last year, and that my pants should be tapered if not cuffed. Nevertheless, I love these pants and I got them for five bucks: you can't beat that.

10 Things You Should Know About Me

1. I live in a very small town.

My husband and I live in a small town in Colorado, where the only place to shop is a big box store that allows you to camp in the parking lot. (You didn't know that about Wally-World, did you?) I don't have a lot of shopping options, and I am virtually cut off from the world of high fashion. But what I read in magazines, follow online, and am admonished for by my siblings (they're in LA), I try to turn into fashion inspiration.

Let me know how I'm doing. And follow along as I become less clueless in my pursuit of finding fun, casual, fashionable statements...
